Among all the other goodies on his site is a link to the following blog: http://www.feastofmusic.com/feast_of_music/ which showcases musical talent mainly within New York City.
I will be posting more music from multiple genres on my blog although most music I gravitate toward these days tends to be experimental and/or Avant-Garde. Hip Hop is still my childhood favorite, but I cannot neglect the wealth of great tunes out on the interwebs.
There really needs to be a show, based in United States, that showcases insightful hiphop artists in a different light. I love that the hiphop artists get to express their thoughts on diverse issues on overseas programs; however, there needs to be more US based interviews like the one posted below. Regardless of whether you like 50's music, he's quite candid when explaining his decision making process in the music industry. And hiphop fans need to hear more artists publicly saying that their fans don't respond as much when less dark is released. 50 may be marketing here, but I do not think is outright lying. I think he really does get asked, both by bloggers and traditional media, more about getting shot than how it feels to be successful and that point is rather telling.
